Eulogy

You, a friend or relative may wish to say a few words about the person who has died during the service .

Writing a eulogy is a way of saying farewell to someone who has died – it helps to bring the person to life in the minds of the audience.

You may choose to prepare and read this yourself, or ask the officiant at the service to do this on your behalf.

Families often choose to include a favourite reading as part of the service. This might be from a religious text, or a chosen poem or piece of prose.
