You are never alone following a bereavement:
CRUSE offer face-to-face, telephone, email and website support and our own local support group – ‘SOLACE’ is there to give you support as and when you need it.
Cruse Bereavement Support
Cruse Bereavement Care is the leading national charity for bereaved people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies and work to enhance society’s care of bereaved people.
Cruse offers face-to-face, telephone, email and website support. They have a national helpline and local services, and a website and freephone helpline specifically for children and young people. Their services are provided by trained volunteers and are confidential and free. Cruse also provides training and consultancy for external organisations and for those who may encounter bereaved people in the course of their work.

WE ARE HERE TO LISTEN – ‘SOLACE’ – The Bereavement Support Volunteers
If you, or someone you know has recently been bereaved you may wish to talk things over in a friendly atmosphere.
‘SOLACE’ describe themselves as, “…a group of ordinary, friendly and supportive people trained to listen to your experience of bereavement, whether recent or some time ago, informally and in confidence over a cup of tea, no matter if you are religious or not.”
The group meet at the Parkhouse Centre, Bude on the first Tuesday in the month between 2.30 pm and 4.00pm.
